Think about all the times when you went out of your way to do a task and did not even get a Thank You. How did that make you feel? You probably went through a wide range of emotions from anger to sadness. The biggest thing you probably felt though was under appreciated. We have all had moments like this in life. This is why plaques of appreciation are so important. They are a tangible way of expressing the value of a person’s contribution to your life or business. I will share 3 special moments when they can help show greater respect and create a positive memory for someone.

First, plaques of appreciation matter most when a key life event happens. What key life event is either celebrated or feared each year? How about the day you came into the world smiling with no anxieties about your next provision. This was your birthday and is a yearly key life event for most people. Most people treasure their birthdays and can be demanding about their gifts and their wishes you are to joyfully execute. There is really no other day in the year where you can get away with almost anything. What else could you ask for anyway that would make you feel even better? Can you imagine what the look on your face would be if your family presented a birthday plaque to you? Would you not cherish that special occasion for life?

Second, recognizing someone when they hit a major career milestone is another occasion to present a plaque of appreciation. People put their blood, sweat and tears into their careers and promotions are never guaranteed. When that special moment arrives they have reason to celebrate and they want you to celebrate with them. Being successful in a career is one benchmark that most people use to evaluate their life and legacy. You can see why when you consider how much time is spent at work rather than at home.

Third, recognizing someone with a plaque of appreciation when they perform exceptional community service for an important cause. How many special people do you know that spend their time helping to make the world a better place? Probably too many to count and they are devoted to helping less fortunate people find relief. They are the real champions in life. They don’t do it for any other reason then because they deeply care for their neighbors. They will not accept financial contributions that directly benefit them but are likely to graciously receive a plaque of appreciation.

Stop for a moment and think about what plaques of appreciation mean to people. They help build positive unforgettable memories for them and become signposts for key life events.

Imagine how things might be different at your job if your boss took the time to really show their appreciation for your efforts. There are many wonderful leaders that recognize the value that plaques of appreciation can have on team productivity. They take the time to identify important company goals and tie special recognition to achieving them.

You don’t have to spend a fortune on a plaque for it to impact a person in a meaningful way. Most people are moved by the very act of thinking about them in a special way. Every day presents us with opportunities to show gratitude to others. Always document the stellar performance of a person when you observe it going unnoticed. When that person least expects it present them with a plaque of appreciation and thank them for their superb work.

Never forget that plaques of appreciation can be used to show respect or thanks for almost any occasion . Spend time right now reflecting on the people who make your life easier to manage. Your joy and satisfaction is all that really matters to them. Are you doing everything in your power to demonstrate your appreciation for their efforts? If the answer to this question is no then I strongly urge you to shock them with a plaque of appreciation. It will be one of the best decisions that you ever made!

All businesses , small or large, that serves the public, must be aware of the customer’s overall impressions. This means anything from the first greeting when they walk in, to the state of the public washroom facilities. If you allowed your customers to rate the cleanliness, appearance, and general condition of your restrooms, how do you feel you would fare?

Clean and sanitary restrooms in your facility can leave a long lasting , positive impression on customers and visitors. Many business surveys say , washroom condition is a major source of customer dissatisfaction . If your fixtures are old and worn, upgrade them . Replace that old rusty paper towel dispenser with a nice looking Bobrick paper towel dispenser.

Everything can be perfect in your facility, but an offensive bathroom experience can alter visitors impressions in a blink of an eye. Less-than-pleasing odors, crowded conditions, broken or worn out accessories, or overall clutter are problems, but you have the ability to turn the experience into a positive one.

If customers feel good about the cleanliness of the restroom, they’re much more inclined to stay longer to consider purchasing your goods and services now, and to return in the future. Customers lost because of a low class bathroom is a customer that may never be back. Whereas, having a clean and inviting washroom can bring repeat customers to you, as they’ll associate your business with that pleasing feeling.

Public restrooms can be notably dull, boring and cold . Businesses, that offer public restrooms, may want to put some thought into decorating their washroom so that it is warm and inviting, and offers customers a generally pleasant experience. Here is an example of how decorating can improve the atmosphere of a public restroom .

One of the biggest changes you can make while redecorating a public washroom is to consider some different lighting. Public bathrooms most always have bright, utilitarian fluorescent lighting. This type is economical but not very soothing. Remedy the problem by adding more lighting for a classier appearance. You could install sconces on the walls or even a small table with a nice lamp on it to diffuse the bright cast from the overhead fluorescent fixtures.

With the current state of the economy many businesses are feeling pinched, but the cutbacks should not be on items like keeping the public bathroom in top condition. The small savings that result from neglecting your restrooms are not worth offending your clients.

The washroom fixtures and accessories should always be appealing and in perfect condition . A Bobrick soap dispenser or a Bobrick paper towel dispenser can be a nice addition to almost any restroom. The automatic hand dryer, even the tissue paper holder, though, seemingly small, can cement someone’s opinion about a restroom, and the business owners providing it.

Ever wonder why Around since 1906 Bobrick is the largest supplier of commerical restroom accessories. Replace your old paper towel dispenser with an attractive Bobrick paper towel dispenser and see why! Also published at Better Customer Relations Can Start With A Good Public Washroom Experience.

Any person in the senior management of an organization or in the human resources department will tell you that filling vacancies in senior executive positions can be an arduous task. Given the structure of the job hierarchy in any organization and in the market as a whole takes on a pyramid structure, it means that even as positions become fewer as you move up the pyramid so does the number of people with the competencies necessary to effectively execute the job.

In order for the organization to continue growing it needs quality, performance, and leadership from the individuals holding these senior positions. This is why using an executive search Canada firm is ideal. It simply allows you to get a hold of the top talent quickly.

Granted, this will depend on the head hunting firm. So you definitely want to do your research and make sure the company you hire will go over and above your expectations. The end result will give you an individual that makes your business better.

The issue of competence is one of the main reasons why client organizations will sometimes prefer to work with smaller executive search Canada firms where they are certain their recruitment will be handled by a senior and experienced member of the executive search firm.

They also provide you with tons of dedication to get the job done and find exactly what you want in this position. If you went through the human resources department, chances are they are doing multiple tasks and the work you need done is a part of a bigger pool. When you go with an executive search Canada firm you know they are focused on your needs and will find the right person for the job. Best of all the “delivery” is a part of the contract, so they are obligated to make this happen.

The main reason you want to step outside the human resources arena is because the HR department must work with the principal of active job seekers versus passive ones. So when it comes to a senior executive position everything works differently.

Companies that go through an executive search Canada firm understand that talent like this will rarely look for a job. It’s because their work speaks for itself and others will be calling them. Search firms like the one in Canada already have their ear to the ground and aware that they must find these individuals and introduce them to companies just like yours.

The extent to which an executive search firm will be involved in the hiring process will depend on the needs of the client organization. Often, the executive search Canada firm will not only appraise the skills, experience and education of the candidate but will also perform background checks by calling up listed and non listed references.

If you are interested in getting the best talents do not hesitate to contact an Executive Search Canada if you want to get on contact with us Click Here

The owners, managers and supervisors of companies know that a show of appreciation is much needed among the workers in a workplace. Some employees do not try to do a good job at all and have a terrible attitude. Others try the best that they can and it shows. Appreciation plaques are the perfect way to show your thanks for a job well done.

It is a good practice to show praise where it is due. Some supervisors and managers never received praise at any of their jobs. They should know better than anybody that this is a needed expression in the workplace.

When appreciation is shown, the worker feels good. He feels good enough to continue doing it, because he was recognized and acknowledged. It is a sign of respect on your part, and respect is contagious. He will respect you in return and continue to work harder. You may even need to buy more plaques. That will prove to be a good thing in the workplace. Your company and department will look great because of his good work.

Some supervisory and management seminars teach that praise is even better than a raise in salary. Psychologically this is true. Money is, of course, very desirable, and raises should routinely be given as deserved. But money slips through the fingers of your employees. They will also say that it is most important, because they have bills to pay, and, after all, that is why they are working in the first place.

If a raise of twenty dollars a week is given, this is very much appreciated, you can be sure. But it is spent so easily, that it is gone almost as soon as it is received. The employee deserves this, he knows it, and he may spend it on a fancy dinner, or clothes, or other necessities that he has been holding off getting. Whatever it is spent on, it is gone, and he starts his next week without it, and this practice repeats itself. If they are given something they can hold onto, that lasts quite a while longer.

It could be a certificate, a plaque, or even a trophy of sorts. And it will be for doing something better than the other employees. It can even be for never being late, or having the least amount of absences. Some absences cannot be avoided, but some employees really take advantage of this fact and stay out of work more often than they should. They ones who are always there should surely be rewarded.

And there are many other reasons for rewarding an employee with a special plaque. They are for those who have outdone the others in one way or another. And the plaque can be taken home and shown to the family with pride. Then, even the family members know that he is doing a great job. And whether it gets put into a drawer, or hung on the wall, he is reminded of how he is respected and recognized in the workplace, no matter what his job is.

To make it more fun, and to show the other workers, as well, these special employees, a ceremony of sorts can be held periodically. It can even be a lunch to thank all of the employees, and to present those who went above and beyond the call of duty with appreciation plaques for them to treasure for a long time.

Before you buy anything online, make sure you check Wealthwood’s top quality crystal appreciation plaques, and appreciation plaque

Your employee has done an excellent job on a project and you feel you want to motivate him to continue. You want to give him positive feedback and are not sure what you should do. This is an opportunity to give employee awards.

When you have given the employee a tangible goal and he/she works to achieve that goal then it is your responsibility to recognize the achievement. Some accomplishment may be small and others may be very grand. Whichever it may be you should demonstrate that it was recognized.

If your employee is motivated he will work very hard and very smart. This is such a winning combination for your business. This example will encourage others to work in this manner so that they too can be recognized.

If you are only using awards to boost morale and using awards when you think morale is low then this may not maintain the morale at a positive level. It may even be self-defeating over the long term as the employees may begin to feel used. You may be providing a negative response rather than the positive one you were hoping for. Consistent and meaningful recognition is the key. The employee of the month awards are a consistent positive approach to recognition. You provide the staff with a monthly goal and therefore they are all eligible for this award. How best to motivate them?

A written thank you left on the desk telling the employee that it was a job well done might motivate that employee to work harder that day. Perhaps inviting the employee to the office to verbally give them your thanks and that of the company for accomplishing a task. You may want to recognize a success by assigning an important task to that person.

Teams should also be recognized for their successes. Your team may have reached an interim goal during a project. Morning coffee with donuts or chocolates for their area would be a way to say thank you. An invitation to a picnic lunch in a park near the office or leaving early one afternoon is certainly a positive reinforcement. These are not expensive forms of awards and the company will benefit greatly.

If your team has successfully accomplished projects it might be time to recognize them by having upper level management present when the team is complimented for their effort and if a specific individual out performed their past achievements then this also is a perfect time to mention it. An actual plaque could be given for the team to post in their area. Being noticed by upper level management creates cohesiveness among the team and they are ready to put every effort into the next assignment. Now upper level management is watching and they are proud that they are watching.

When you award plaques to your employees you are giving them a concrete display of how they are appreciated as a staff member. They are an important part of the company. In realizing this you may find that other staff are motivated to strive for the same reward. When our work is recognized and we feel appreciated we have a positive attitude and are encouraged to continue.

Before you buy anything online, make sure you check Wealthwood’s top quality crystal employee awards, and employee award

The advantages of employing the services of a head hunter company are vast. A quality head hunter company serves the purpose of recruiting qualified people for a job on behalf of another business. These will mainly be companies seeking executives for positions that can be a little sophisticated to fill. A solid head hunting service will generally have more than one client under contract. This should not be a problem to those wishing to hire it. Such a recruitment company will be professional enough to handle all clients in an effective and reliable manner. This means it can fill all jobs within a reason timeframe. Of course, the service will fill the jobs with the right people as well.

Why Use A Head Hunting Company?

The time factor should play a vital role in making the decision to hire a head hunting company. Head hunters will definitely be more productive in terms of their efficiency and ability to hire a prospect. Instead of performing hiring in-house, you could outsource to a staff that knows what is needed to find the right person for the job in as quick a time as possible.

This is because the head hunting company will be able to devote all of its time to finding the right person, whereas a manager will only have small blocks of time to review resumes and complete interviews. Using a head hunters company is particularly great during a busy time, as staff can fully concentrate on their jobs.

Will a Head Hunting Company Cut Costs?

Despite the fact that a head hunting company will need to be paid a predefined fee or a percentage, to use this type of company to fill vacancies will generally be quite cost effective. Why is this so? The overhead costs associated with using a head hunter are very low. A business will not be required to pay the fees and expenses associated hiring authority in-house personnel. The time factor of having to perform interviews will be eliminated as well. Rather than deal with all these hassles, the work can be outsourced to a company that will be more effective – and cheaper – almost immediately.

Will I Receive the Best Candidate?

Another great advantage to using head hunters are the time they take into finding someone with the right skill set. A head hunting company will go the extra mile to make sure that the candidates selected for the position are the ones who most closely have the skills that you have requested. So regardless of what skills are needed for the job, this type of recruitment company can interview as many people as needed until they find someone with the right experience, education, and overall personality that your job position entails.

Easily, the best way the hire a solid head hunter company would be to ask other businesses that have used them. Doing so will allow you to determine the positives and negatives of working with such a company. That alone will boost your potential to get the most out of a decent head hunting company.

A trophy is the ideal special recognition reward for the endeavors of any person. There is no better form of that special recognition award for richly earned activities and outstanding performances than lasting and classy crystal trophies.

Conventional trophies range from the ordinary wood home-made varieties and the classic but overused silver trophy to the chrome plated moldings that never really seem to match the occasion.

Crystal trophies come in a large variety of shapes and sizes, from simple two dimension plates to more intricate three dimensional laser cut masterpieces. They can be engraved, sandblasted with decorative designs, have special inscriptions, simple or complex shapes, even be color tinted.

By Adding additional color to a crystal trophy you can give it that extra classy touch. Many coloured crystal options are possible, and a simple clear crystal can be glazed to suit your needs. A base or parts with a contrasting material, a different color or simply a different texture can often be advisable on larger pieces, and can enhance the overall presentation.

Trophies signify prestigious occasions and should always look the part, they are special and cherished items that will last a lifetime. Trophies have a place of pride in the home, not for only a weeks or months, but lifetimes.

The size, complexity and special details of a trophy must always be considered an important point, whether it’s a minimalist simple design or, when the occasion calls for it, a large 3D masterpiece.

Thanks to the amazing world of technological progress, almost anything is possible when it comes to crystal. Figurines, realistic replicas of actual sporting objects, or creative shapes and forms are all possible. Matte effects and the application of textures as well as laser engraving and even paint can be easily used to create images on the glossy crystal surface. Short or long inscriptions, logos, and graphics can be applied for that professional look and feel. A high quality effect is achieved without enormous expense.

Because of their honoured place in the home for many years to come, trophies should be at least somewhat decorative, and preferably suitable to the achievement. The versatility of crystal in this department makes it both appropriate and beautiful, even in its simplest form.

Award ceremonies are only as special as the trophies they give. Special occasions with special trophies create extra-special memories. Whether its a corporate award or trophy, or a simple school sporting achievement award, the sentimental value behind a beautiful crystal trophy will ensure that it lives on for many years into the future.

Trophies should be treated as the eternal memories that they create. The reward for an achievement should be something that shows worth and appreciation and recognizes special accomplishments. Cheap and cheesy wood, chrome and plastic alternatives will never do any achievement much justice. Crystal trophies have that special something in their glossy shine and crystal clarity that really sets them apart, making them timeless and truly elegant.

When using a Hand truck in your house, you have to take precautions that one does not have to be concerned with when using a hand truck in a warehouse. Scuff marks which are a non-issue in the warehouse become an issue at home, especially if you are doing a job for somebody else. We always want to avoid the possible complaints.

Another concern is to take measures to ensure that the body of the hand truck which usually consists of medals such as steel or aluminum does not scratch your appliance or furniture. This true if you are transporting a metal appliance or a piece of wood furniture, either way if you are not careful you can damage the cargo you are moving.

To prevent the hand truck from scratching the appliance, you will need to obtain some pipe insulation that is made from dense foam rubber. Cut the pipe insulation to the length of the hand truck and cut a slit down the back of it. Slide it over the hand truck rails on either side and secure it with a few pieces of duct tape. You may need to tape it to the hand truck itself, otherwise the tubing will slip out of place when you lift and tilt the appliance onto the hand truck.

Even if your hand truck has skid-free tire you must still take precautions when moving your appliances. This is because of the heaviness of the hand truck after it is loaded up. If anything sharp such as a stone should get caught up in the wheels it can inflict a nice scratch on a previously beautiful floor, so try if possible to cover the expensive floor with cardboard.

For those who don’t have big pieces of cardboard another option is to use a drop cloth which is readily available at any home improvement center. While it is easier to use than cardboard it doesn’t offer the same level of safety because it is not as thick and another co is that you will need someone to hold the cloth tight as you wheel the hand truck or it will just get all messed up.

Now don’t just say forget the whole hand truck think, I will just move mu appliances and furniture by hand. That can cause a lot more damage than using a hand truck. WE are talking about damaging your back and stressing your muscles. So just stick to that hand truck and follow the ideas here and you will be glad you did!!

A 2 handle steel hand truck is great to have in your garage in case the need arises. Some people prefer to use a continuous handle steel hand truck because they like the freedom that it offers .

While job searching is often a tedious task, employee screening is just as hard. Try imagining yourself assessing several thousand apparently similar applicants aspiring for only 1 position. In case you have looked for a job before, you have often seen the quantity of applicants there are competing for a single post.

This is pretty much the reason numerous employers seek other tools (in addition to the standard interview and aptitude exam) for analyzing which applicant is the right choice for the position. Not surprisingly, they don’t like to recruit people and end up dealing with the wrong employee. They don’t want their efforts and cash to simply go to waste.

Yet, confronted with hundreds, and even several thousand resumes, and confronted by numerous exam results and an interview that you simply can’t remember in the slightest degree, how could a business determine who’s Mr./Ms. right?

And here, handwriting analysis comes into the picture. Handwriting analysis, commonly known as Graphology, or a Greek word graph which means to write and logos, which means theory, is the art and science of analyzing one’s personality and behavior from the way he/she writes. Basically, Graphology is just like brain-writing, you are writing from the neural impulse of your brain. Thus, through years of rigorous studies, now graphologists are here to foretell how one person may respond to a specific condition at a certain time; simply how much supervision does one person need; how fast do they really learn; how they interact with others; and several others.

The handwriting, whether it be written in various language except Chinese, Hebrew, or Russian, is analyzed through examining the strokes of each and every letter which includes the dimensions of the letters, how they were written, pressure, speed, spacing, and many more factors.

Earlier, companies use lie detectors or polygraphs, however, when it became against federal law to make use of these types of analysis as part of employee screening, they had to find another system to test future employees, and the most effective they were able to find was Handwriting analysis. By implementing it, they could avoid almost every company loss in the foreseeable future.

Today graphology is popular in various areas such as Europe and the US. As human resource managers have less time to measure the fast growing population of applicants, this analysis trend is not going anywhere soon. Unlike typical interview which is used to evaluate an applicant, handwriting analysis is more difficult to falsify plus the result won’t likely be influenced by a job candidate who exerted himself in an attempt to make a good impression. Interviews tend to be vulnerable to imprecision plus they are easier to manipulate since applicants might answer what he/she thinks the interviewer desires to hear.

So why would handwriting come in handy in analyzing the applicant’s traits? Well, the solution would be because there are no two people with exactly the same writing style, and each day, even you will have variations in your writing. As Aristotle puts it, “Just like all men don’t have the same speech, neither do they all have the same writing.” True. Handwriting is as unique as a fingerprint. And one’s handwriting evolve as his/her experiences grow. His feelings, emotions, and characteristics affect how he/she strokes his/her pen on a paper.

Confucius even coined that “Handwriting can infallibly show whether it comes from a person who is noble-minded or from one who is vulgar”.

The recent economic recession has caused employers to be more cautious about whom they trust to complete their work. Human resource departments work diligently to keep the costs down that are associated with lack of productivity. Many workforce issues such as drug use and personal technology use contribute to millions of dollars lost annually. New technology and other advancements have made it much easier for employers to monitor their employees.

The use of technology in the office can be easily monitored thanks to many tools available to employers. Did you know that employers can keep track of office phone calls, computer and internet use? They can even monitor voicemail and email. Laws regarding employee privacy rights are so blurry that its impossible to determine when an employer legally oversteps their rights.

Many employers have a clearly written policy surrounding their monitoring procedures to avoid any confusion. It seems that the only real way to avoid monitoring while at work is to use personal mobile devices. Even texting while on a company cell phone can be subject to severe scrutiny.

Drug use has also been screened heavily in the workplace. Many employers now require employees to be randomly screen. This is definitely the case for businesses that have heavy machinery or other dangerous equipment on their property. In order to avoid problems such as absenteeism and workplace hazards associated with drug use, employers often use drug screens to determine hire eligibility. Also, many randomly drug screen their current employees.

Employers who do require drug screening enjoy the benefits of reduced employee healthcare costs. Insurance companies will often offer lower premiums for those who test their employees frequently for illegal substance abuse. Currently, employers have the right to require drug tests in many forms, including hair, saliva, blood and urine tests. Every state has unique policies and laws regarding drug testing in the workplace.
